Hand Forged Skinning Knife
19th Century
Skinning knife with antler scales and a hand forged blade. The knife measures 8 1/2 inches overall with a 5 inch hand forged blade. The blade exhibits the nice tapper from butt to tip that you find in hand forged knives. The scales are attached to the blade with two brass rivets. It was probably used as a belt knife for hunting.
Condition: Very Good. One of the rivets brass head is missing (see pics).
