Deep Patanae
This is a 18th century Iroquois war club which was made as a weapon rather than a ceremoniald/dance club. It is made of American maple with the heavy burl head integral with the club haft, a heavy weapon designed to kill.The club measures 19 inches in length with a 7 inch ball head. The club has tons of original patinae consisting of the original black dyed/stained/patined heavy burl ball head. The ball head's lethality is enhanced by a deer antler insert which is fastened by poured lead. The club measures 19 inches with the crooked ball drop measuring 7 inches with the diameter of the dense burl ball being 3 1/2 inches.
Condition: Excellent for its age and use. The club has tons of original ;patina with an overcoat of pine pitch.
