Golden age rifle with tiger maple full stock with incised and raised carving with two engraved silver inlays.  The full octagon unsigned rifled barrel measures 43 3/4" long in approximately .48 caliber.  Overall, this rifle measures 59 3/4" with a wonderfully engraved four piece brass patchbox, an engraved brass toeplate, brass sideplate, as well as brass triggerguard, nosecap, and three brass octagon ramrod ferrules.  This rifle has an old original surface with a light conservation wax applied.  The octagon barrel has a deep untouched brown/black surface.  Beautiful raised carved "ruffled" C and S scroll carving behind the cheekpiece in a pattern which Kindig calls John Hagi's signature pattern.  In addition, there is incise carving under the cheekpiece, around the barrel tanbg and volute carving on either side of the rear ramrod ferrule.  There is a deep incised beauty line which parrallels the ramrod channel on either side.  A nearly identical rifle by Hagy sold in Julia's October 2013 auction (Lot 2380).  This raise carved golden age rifle would be a great addition to any Kentucky rifle collection at a very reasonable price.**SOLD**

Condition:  Excellent for its age.  Original unrestored flintlock.  About a one inch crack running through the toe as the result of the lower buttplate screw (visible in several pictures).
