Rare Green Leather Cameo Inlay of Edelwess
This rare Pennsylvania Dutch shooting bag comes complete with attached powderhorn. This dark brown dressed leather "D" form double bag has a rare cameo inlay of an edelweiss in green leather on its flap. The original adjustable strap has a nice early hand forged adjustment buckle. The bag proper measures 7 1/2" x 7 1/2" and is 37" from the apex of the shoulder strap to the bottom of the bag. The early powder horn is rather plain and measures 11" on the outside curve with an old surface pine butt measuring 2 3/8" in diameter. **SOLD**
Condition: Good. The bag has an in-period shoulder strap extention and the anchor points on the bag have 20th century patch reinforcements on either side in back. There is a "J" shaped tear where the suspension strap is fastened to the back-side of the bag (pictured).
