xxSOLDxx REVOLUTIONARY WAR PERIOD AMERICAN SHORT SABER

From the George Neumann Collection

Great American short saber from the George Neumann collection measures 29 inches overall with a single fuller blade measuring 23 3/4".  The octagon polished bone grip is topped by a brass "bee hive" form pommel with a sturdy brass stirrup hilt. The unusual quillon has a hole thru drilled to create a ring form.  The imported blade features a 1/4 inch by 17 1/2 inch back fuller with a 6 inch false edge.  **SOLD**

Condition: Excellent. Blade has a nice salt and pepper patina. The bone grip several age cracks, including one on the top measuring the length of the grip. All stable.
