Silver Mounted Officers Hanger, Circa 1775-1785

Very attractive silver mounted American made "D" guard officer's hanger measures 30 1/4 inches overall with a 25 1/2 inch triple fuller blade. The grip is attractively spiral carved bone with unmarked thin silver mounts with the silver pommel exhibiting a small capstan. The blade appears to be an American made three fuller type, typically found on revolutionary war era swords. The silver mounts are made of thin sheet silver with uneven thickness, typical of American manufacture.  The sword has an Ohio history. **SOLD**

Condition:  Very Good. No major flaws. The bone grip has two hairline cracks running the length of the grip. Mottled surface pitting on the blade.
