xxSOLDxxx REVOLUTIONARY WAR PERIOD AMERICAN SABER

18th century brass mounted American cavalry or dragoon saber with a tripple fuller blade..38 inches overall length with a 32 inch hand forged blade.  "D" guard brass hilt with double knuckle guard branches and a smooth turned walnut grip, large brass urn shaped pommel with a small capstan and a disk shaped quillon.  Relic condition partial leather scabbard.  This sword has seen some heavy service.  Circa 1780-1790. **SOLD**

Condition:  Good.  The 3 fuller blade was broken in period with a brazed repair 18" forward of the hilt.  Blade has pitted rust forward of the repair.  About 1/4" of the blade tip is broken off and missing.
