BOWIE KNIFE, Civil War, Circa 19th Century

Nice mid-19th century Sheffield Bowie of Civil War era. Clip blade with antler grip and silver mounts (no markings on the silver and therefore  probably coin silver). This comes with a reproduction western type sheath. The knife measures 11 1/4 inches overall with a 7 inch clip point blade. with a 5+ inch false edge.

Condition: The knife is in excellent condition with no apparent blemishes. Mottled greys with evidence of hand forging near the tip of the blade. Blade lightly cleaned at one time.
