REVOLUTIONARY WAR PERIOD HANGER

This wonderfully made British officer's hanger or small sword, (since this is a "tweeter" in size and dimension), measures 38 1/2 inches overall and sports a 32 inch triangular shaped straight tapered single fuller blade. The blade measures 7/8 inch wide at the hilt and is 3/16 inches thick. The brass mounts still exhibit much gilding and consist of a round spiral-ribbed pommel with small capstan. The grip is spiraled carved and retains the original triple braided wires.

Condition: Excellent. The blade has some expected pitting (see pics) on the last 13 inches to the tip.
