DREPPERD SIGNED PERCUSSION TRADE PISTOL

Fur Trade Era

Very clean, untouched fur trade era full stock percussion pistol made in Lancaster, Pennsylvania mid-19th century.  This large fullstock plain maple brass mounted pistol measures 16 3/4 inches overall and is signed "DREPPERD LANCASTER" on both the lockplate and the top flat of the 11 1/4 inch octagon .40 cal barrel.  The plain maple full stock has its original surface and is brass mounted with Kentucky style neatly filed furnishings.  The entry ferrule has10  neat "beauty lines" filed across the length of it, while the convex triggerguard has neatly filed beauty lines at both the front and rear terminals.  All in all a nice clean signed pistol.
